Dear Eagle View Families,
Here we are in November already and the rainy season is well upon us. The students have been enjoying the outside recess time, mud, ditches and puddles. Thank you for sending a change of clothes for those times when the muddy buddies are just not enough. We also want to thank parents for continuing to monitor your child’s well being and doing the Daily Health Check. You are amazing!
Running Club is still happening! Although the venue has been moved out-front to accommodate the closure of the field, (which starts next week) there is often over 50 students running. The yellow gate is closed and patrolled during the morning recess as students run laps around the parking lot!! The question is, will some students make it to100 laps by November 26th? Very possibly! In the Spring, we look forward to the Kindergarten students joining running club.
Update on construction… the foundation has been poured and things are starting to move along. The far side of the fence has opened up so parents and students have access to the back play area from both sides of the school. Wood chips are coming soon but haven’t arrived yet so please be careful as you travel through the forest area.
We want to thank our wonderful PAC for the spooktacular Halloween activities on Black and Orange Day. Whether it was a scavenger hunt (K-1), a skeleton puzzle (Gr. 2&3) or building a scarecrow (Gr. 4&5) fun was had by all.
We will be having a simplified Remembrance Day Assembly on Wednesday, November 10 with our students and staff. If your child belongs to Guides/Scouts/Brownies/Cubs and would like to wear a uniform that day, they are welcome to do so. Just a reminder that classes are not in session on November 11, so enjoy the time with family.
We look forward to a strong finish to our first term. As always, we appreciate your support as we are all in this together.
Have a great weekend and take some time to remember the good things in life, memories from the past and look forward with hope of good things to come.
