Dear Eagle View Families,
Students and staff at Eagle View have clearly settled into the routines and excitement of academic learning! I have been popping into classes frequently to see the fabulous learning taking place, working with individual students, small groups and entire classes in various curriculum areas. As well, children have adapted well to this years new routines and are busy practicing responsible and respectful behavior!
We want to thank parents for your discernment in keeping your child home when sick. Although our absenteeism has increased on a couple of days, for the most part, everyone is here, happy to be back with very few empty seats. At school we are appreciative that you trust us with your children each day and we miss them when they are not with us. We again applaud you for continuing to monitor and do the Daily Health Check. You are amazing!
We want to thank our wonderful PAC for a funtastic Halloween scavenger hunt in our forest, especially Santina Spencer for her creativeness in making it work for all grades. The goody bag that topped off the event was certainly the icing on the cake! As this is not our typical school year, we appreciate how the PAC has continued to care for our community in maintaining activities and fundraising events that are appropriate for theses times.
We will be having a simplified Remembrance Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 10 outdoors. We are planning on recording and live streaming it and hope to get it up on our website so you can be part of it. If your child belongs to Guides/Scouts/Brownies/Cubs and would like to wear a uniform that day, they are welcome to do so. Just a reminder that classes are not in session on November 11, so enjoy the time with family.
We hope that your home life is now settling into routines that are manageable and that you are looking forward to finishing off 2020 stronger than you came into it with all the new knowledge of working through a pandemic. Thank you all for your juggling and flexibility as we do this together.
Have a great weekend and take some time to remember the good things in life.
