Administrator’s Message
Dear Eagle View Families,
As May comes to a close and communities start to open, Eagle View has been preparing for the return of more students. Those students who are returning to face to face learning will be coming for 2 days between the hours of 9:00 and 2:15. Letters have been sent out from the classroom teacher indicating which cohort these students are in (Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday) along with a specific start time. If you have not received this information, please contact your classroom teacher or send an email to jrelf@sd61.bc.ca and we will get back to you this weekend. We are also offering care for our children of Essential Service Workers (ESW) from 8:30 to 2:38, 5 days a week.
Today you should have received an important letter from our Superintendent, Shelley Green, along with the attachments on the Exposure Control Plan and the BCCDC Guidance for K-12 Settings. Please make sure you scroll all the way down as these attachments are at the bottom of the Superintendent’s message. Sharing this information with your child before they return to school will be beneficial for a successful start-up for your child. We have also provided an attachment in todays newsletter email with a social story specific to our school to help with the conversation. Thank you for being part of this important role in your child’s education. Please check out the following link https://youtu.be/NN89m2glxi8. This video will show students where they will line up upon arrival and how to move through our hallways.
At this time parents are asked to remain outside the building to help us maintain appropriate physical distancing and to keep their child home if there are signs of any illness in your household.
Also, a big shout out to the staff and parents who came out to our Welcome to Kindergarten drive by event today. It was wonderful to see the faces of our new students and their excitement when they discovered the contents of their new bag of goodies. We look forward to getting to know them better in the fall.
Have a great weekend,
Mrs. Relf & Mr. Galhon
