Administrator’s Message
Dear Eagle View Families,
The month of February seemed to just fly by and we find ourselves at the end of the first week of March. There is only one week left until the arrival of Spring Break!
As the weather begins to improve we start to notice an increase in toys from home showing up at school. We kindly ask that students leave their toys, collector cards, stuffies, etc. at home. This will save them from becoming damaged or lost. Spring is a great time to renew our commitment to working together to support a positive school community. As a school, we focus on being respectful, responsible and safe in all areas, classrooms, gyms, learning commons, online and on school grounds. Reviewing our school code of conduct, which can be found on our website is one way families can partner with us to help every student feel they know and can follow school expectations. Thank you for your ongoing support.
Your child’s next Learning Update will be hot off the press in one week. Students are reflecting on the goals they set last term and thinking about how they will grow their learning for the final term of the school year. Please let us know if you are unable to access Parent Connect (as this is where you will find your child’s Learning Update) by calling the office. Students are encouraged to have conversations at home about their strengths and stretches. Thank you for reading the Learning Updates and for the support and encouragement you provide at home for their learning.
As a school we continue to work on our goal which is, “to support all learners in becoming proficient readers and writers by centering the learning around the students and by gathering and ongoing reflection of student data.” Data tells us that more and more students are reading at grade level or very close to grade level and beyond. Some strategies that are promoting this goal are small class Reading Clubs, Every Day Reading Club and Side by Side Reading. Remember to Save the Date – April 30th – Student Led Conferences, so you can see first hand all their hard work!
We want to wish you and your family a safe, FUN and relaxing Spring Break as you enjoy time together with family and friends!
