March 2022 Newsletter

April 19, 2022

Administrator’s Message

Dear Eagle View Families,

The sunshine has been a blessing and the soaring eagles that frequent the skies around the school are a reminder of the vast and beautiful territories of the Esquimalt and Songhees nations. We are grateful to feel the safety of where we live, learn, work and play.

As Term 2 comes to a close, teachers have been dedicated to writing report cards to outline what topics of learning have been explored and your child’s progress, including their successes thus far. End of term opens the door for meaningful conversations with your child(ren) to acknowledge their gains and develop new goals for the remainder of the school year. Report cards will be coming home on Friday, March 18th.

The Health and Safety team is hopeful that lifting of restrictions will continue after spring break. Play zones were removed a few weeks ago and we look forward to resuming school assemblies, events, field trips, and other outings. Student Led Conferences will take place in person and details will be communicated after the break. We await the Provincial K-12 guideline revisions from public health sometime in March to solidify the changes. We are looking forward to attending the first in-person PAC meeting this school year. It will be held outdoors at the front of the school at 6:30pm. Dress warmly and bring a lawn chair.

We would like to thank Ayesha Evans for her time with Division 10. Mr.Borich will be returning on Monday. We are also happy to have Mrs. Fraelic back. We are also saying goodbye to Mrs. Caela Allaby in our Learning Support role and we welcome Mrs. Ashely McKinstry to the position after spring break and for the remainder of the school year.

Construction continues on the school grounds and the trusses are being installed during the break.

Thank you for your continued support from home. We want to wish you and your family a safe, FUN and Happy Spring Break!

Mrs. Beattie and Mrs. Relf
