Administrator’s Message
Dear Eagle View Families,
As we head into the holiday season and bring term one to a close, we would like to thank the families of Eagle View for your continued support with the ongoing Health Protocols. Everyone is doing a fantastic job to keep our school safe, demonstrating that we are all in this together for the long haul. You are amazing parents for all you do: organizing special activities for our students, contributing to PAC meetings, creating fundraising projects; … and the list goes on.
Thank you also to the dedicated staff of Eagle View who put their hearts into creating engaging learning opportunities, providing caring classrooms and playgrounds both outside and inside. A shout out goes also to the dedicated team of office and custodial staff who ensure the smooth operation of the school and help students and staff daily.
Update on construction: Facilities are so grateful for the patient Eagle View Community and want to thank everyone for navigating any inconvenience that it has caused. They have masterfully worked around pick up and drop off times and plan to have the floor poured, complete with floor plumbing before the winter break. We look forward to walls going up in the new year and they say once this happens, the addition to the school will take place quickly.
On Friday, December 10, you will receive a report card for your child. The term has been filled with many opportunities to build skills in all areas of the curriculum. A focus on literacy to align with our school goals has seen students work to improve their skills in reading and writing, meeting each student where they are at. A great idea to keep the momentum going over the break is giving a ’just right’ book as a gift or finding an adventurous read aloud for the entire family.
On Thursday, December 16 we will send home our Christmas concert video for your viewing pleasure. Friday, December 17 is Pajama/Comfy Clothes Day at Eagle View so your children can roll out of bed and come as they are!
