As we welcome in the month of December, this past week teachers have been putting some final touches on report cards which go home with students on Friday, December 9. The first term of the school year has been filled with fun learning activities for students. Some of the opportunities included; school assemblies, fire & earthquake drills, assorted field trips, Story Studio, Canadiana Musical Theater Performance, popcorn recesses, fun lunches, Swan Lake presentation, orange shirt day, Terry Fox walk/run, cross country, soccer, house games, swim club, choir, DARE (grade 5), DEAR (drop everything & read), knitting club, 1000 x 5.
Teachers have been implementing pieces of the new curriculum at varying degrees and I encourage you to speak with your child’s teacher should you have any questions.
Our Choir is performing at Victoria City Hall on Tuesday, December 6. Thank you to Ms. Houldsworth for working with the choir and to all the students who dedicated their time to practice and perform. Well done!
We also look forward to both our traditional Christmas Performances on Thursday, December 15 at 1:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be sent home with students on Monday, December 12. Please note that Friday, December 16 is our traditional Pajama day.
Best Wishes to you and yours,
Mr. de Nat
