Administrator’s Message
Well hello out there… we miss you here!
We hope you are all doing well and the best that you can considering the circumstances that we all find ourselves in. We are grateful for the wonderful staff we have who are doing work away from the building. Teachers who are sending out learning opportunities for their students, Educational Assistants who remotely collaborate with the teachers of students that they work with, help with Childcare for essential workers, and pick up food for some of our families. Also a big thank you to Mr. Viala who continually goes out of his way to keep those who of us who are in the building safe! A special thank you to Ms. Houldsworth and Ms. Murray for creating the staff iMovie for our families earlier in the week.
Just a few things to note. If you haven’t received any emails from your child’s teacher, you may want to check your junk mail. If that doesn’t work, please call in to the office to confirm your email address. We know sometimes they get changed or sometimes they simply have a typo. We are always here to help, so please call or shoot us an email.
Please note also, that our revised office hours are from 8 am to1 pm. However, emails will often be answered before and after those hours so please do not hesitate to be in touch. We will get to you as soon as we can.
Caring for all our families is important to us. Please know that if you need support of any kind, food, clothing, shelter, childcare, technology for school work, we will help to fill the need and if we can’t we can point you in the right direction. Also, if you are one of the more fortunate families and would like to help other families in our district out, you can! Just click on the blue “Make a Donation” tab on our school or district website. Anything over $20 is a taxable deduction for you and a receipt will be mailed directly to you.
Lastly, the nice weather seems to have arrived so get outside, be safe, be thankful and enjoy the best spring has to offer because you can! As of yesterday, provincial parks are closed, but your backyard, a walk around the block, a bike ride to the grocery store will give you plenty of fresh air. Included in this special edition newsletter is an old recipe to keep those nasty mosquito’s away. There is a good chance that all the ingredients could be found in your house so what are you waiting for, you’ve got things to do!
Missing you all, and Happy Easter,
Mr. Galhon and Mrs. Relf
