Principal’s Message
Dear Eagle View Families,
As we bring term one at Eagle View to a close, this is a great time of year to reflect on and thank the many people who have contributed to the positive culture of our school.
On Friday, December 14, you will receive a report card for your child. The term has been filled with many opportunities to build skills in literacy and numeracy, to practice curiosity in science and social studies and to fine tune growth in social emotional learning. Thank you to the dedicated staff of Eagle View who put their hearts into creating engaging learning opportunities and providing caring classrooms and playgrounds. Outside the classroom, thank you to the dedicated team of office and custodial staff who ensure the smooth operation of the school and help students with a wide variety of interesting problems!
Thank you, as well, to the many parents who go the extra mile: organizing and contributing to PAC meetings; creating fundraising projects; supplying fun lunches; ordering grade 5 hoodies … and the list goes on.
On Thursday, December 20 (1:15 and 6:00) we celebrate the winter season, and invite you to join us in a Winter Concert performance. Please note that the doors for the evening concert open at 5:45. This allows the after school club to finish up their day and Eagle View staff a chance to get a bite to eat. Friday, December 21 is Pajama Day at Eagle View so your children can roll out of bed and come as they are! The PAC will serve pancakes to the students soon after their arrival!
I wish you the very best throughout the holiday. I hope you enjoy time with your families and, despite the bustle of the season, savour those precious moments of childhood.
Sincerely,
Lois Bender,
Principal
