Principal’s Message
Welcome Back everyone! Spring blossoms, daffodils and tulips signal that spring is here! Now for a little consistent sunny, warm weather and we will truly be ready to move into our final three months of the 2017/18 school year!
In fact, we start by getting “up and running!” Just before spring break, Mrs. Rimek and Ms. Bender started the run club and hope to expand it as we move into the Cross Country and Track seasons. These clubs are open to grades 3, 4 and 5 students; please stay tuned for more information on Spring Cross Country meet dates and note the following dates for track in your calendars and encourage your child to get those running shoes on!
Tuesday, May 29 Zone D (including Eagle View) Track Meet at UVic
Thursday, May 31 City Finals Track Meet for those qualifying
As the Eagle View PAC ramps up to plan the Eagle View Spring Fair (get out your hoola skirts and Hawaiian shirts to join the party on Thursday, May 17. This is a good time to remind everyone that it takes a whole community to facilitate such a big event! Thank you for the many ways you have or might contribute: making donations to the “Bonanza Bags,” volunteering to run a station for a period of time, helping to set up or take down etc. This is also a fantastic time to thank the PAC and our many regular parent volunteers for the jobs they do: attending and contributing to Eagle View school culture through planning at the monthly PAC meetings; organizing and distributing Fun Lunches/Popcorn Recesses; helping with the recent and successful Scholastic Book Fair. Our wonderful school is the result of many busy and committed people!
Sincerely,
Lois Bender,
Principal
