Administrator’s Message
Dear Eagle View Families,
The holiday season is here and there are only two weeks left before winter break. Classes are busy rehearsing for our Winter Concert on Thursday, December 18 and engaged in a new term of learning while having some winter seasonal fun. As we look at the food donations accumulating and the coins being collected for Jeneece Place and Santa’s Anonymous, it is easy to see your generosity and care for our community. As term one has come to a close we would like to thank the families of Eagle View. We value the strong relationships we have with our parent community and we appreciate all that you do to support the learning goals at school. We are also fortunate to work with an incredible team of staff here at Eagle View. They have been working diligently to close out term 1.
Fun Lunches: Please let the office know if your child would like to participate in fun lunches. We have a fund that will support families who cannot afford the program. Your privacy will be respected.
Reminder: Fresh fruit is available every day for all students.
We have a few staffing updates to share at this time. We welcome two new EAGs to our team, Sasha Voloshanina (EA), in a continuing position and Mr. V(EA) who will be with us until December 19. We said good bye to Mr. Malm this week and we welcome Ms. Saunders, who will be with us until December 19 in Division 3. We will also be saying goodbye to Ms. Howe who has been teaching PE this term. We look forward to sharing information about our new PE teacher once the job posting has closed and the hiring process is complete. Stay tuned!
On Friday, December 12th, your child’s learning updates will be released. You will be able to view them through the “Parent Connect” portal, the same place you sign permission forms online. If for some reason you are not able to access the learning update, please call the office.
Supporting Eagle View’s school literacy goal is a shared effort. When families and the school work together, students gain the strong reading and writing skills they need to thrive
Wishing you the very best this holiday season. Enjoy time with family and friends and be kind to one another.
Best wishes and we look forward to seeing all of you back in the New Year.
Jana & Christina
