Administrator’s Message
Dear Eagle View Families,
Can you believe it is June already. This year has flown by so quickly. Field trips in and out of our school community will continue throughout the month, and we are grateful to our PAC for support with funds and busses. As we enjoy the sunny days and field trips, please remember we are a “Scent Aware” school and appreciate your efforts to choose unscented sunscreen and lotions. Our PAC organized a fantastic Spring Fair last Friday. It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying some games, challenges and hot dogs! Thank you all for coming to this wonderful community event.
Running Club concluded with 114 Kindergarten to Grade 5 students completing 5101 laps with 6 of those students completing 100 laps. Congratulations to Riley H, Sebastian, Violet M., Oakley, Alex H. and Mateo. Our Grade 3 – 5 track team participated in the zone track meet the last week of May with 22 of our 76 student team qualifying the City Finals the next evening. They were amazing representatives for Eagle View. Way to go! Track wouldn’t happen without our staff who organized and practiced with the students and the parent drivers who cheered and encouraged them throughout each event. We are grateful to be able to provide these opportunities for our students.
At the end of every year there is always a goodbye, farewell, see you soon. We bid a farewell to our Grade 5 students as they head off on the next leg of their school journey at middle school. We wish them all the best in their transitions and remind them of the foundational skills they have learned in the last 6 years with us. We are also saying goodbye to a few staff members. We would like to thank Mrs. Pelton, Ms. Davis, Ms. Neily, Mrs. B. Adams and Mr. Forte, for being here this year and for their dedication and enthusiasm to the students they have spent time with this year. We would also like to thank Mrs. Dann for stepping into the role of Acting Vice Principal for another year. We were very fortunate to have her share her vast expertise in an administrative role. We will welcome Mrs. Christina Chase as our new Vice Principal next year. We also want to wish Mrs. Smith a happy retirement at the end of this month. Her contribution to education has left an impression on many young lives, filling them with good memories from their early years. You will all be missed and we all wish you the best.
And a HUGE thank you to our wonderful Eagle View staff, parents and families. We could not do what we do without this wonderful team that makes up our fantastic school community. Thank you for showing up and contributing your skills and talents to make this the amazing school it is. As we step into summer vacation mode soon, please accept our very best wishes for an adventurous, safe and fun July and August.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on September 2, 2025 and of course, Go Oilers Go!
