Dear Eagle View Families,
As we head into the holiday season and bring term one to a close, we would like to thank the families of Eagle View for your support with COVID protocols this fall and being diligent with the Daily Health Checks. By limiting access to our school grounds and wearing masks, you are helping keep our students, staff and families as safe as we can!
As you probably know, while numbers on Vancouver Island are still lower than many places, they are going up. If we as a community are to limit the growing spread of the virus, we need to make sure we are all doing what we need to now.
One important way is to wear masks and socially distance while dropping-off or picking up your children before and after school. This is not always easy but your efforts could make a very big difference for you or someone else’s family.
On Friday, December 11, you will receive a report card for your child. The term has been filled with many opportunities to build skills in literacy and numeracy, to practice curiosity in science and social studies and to fine tune growth in social emotional learning. This year we are excited to offer music to all students . They will receive two terms of Music with Mr. Greig throughout this year. Thank you to the dedicated staff of Eagle View who put their hearts into creating engaging learning opportunities and providing caring classrooms and playgrounds. Outside the classroom, thank you to the dedicated team of office and custodial staff who ensure the smooth operation of the school and help students with a wide variety of interesting problems!
Thank you, as well, to the many parents who go the extra mile: organizing and contributing to PAC meetings; creating fundraising projects; … and the list goes on.
On Thursday, December 17 we hope to send home a Christmas concert video for your viewing pleasure. Friday, December 18 is Pajama Day at Eagle View so your children can roll out of bed and come as they are!
We wish you the very best throughout the holiday. We hope that you all will be allowed to enjoy time with your families and, despite the bustle of the season, savour those precious moments of childhood.
Best wishes and we look forward to seeing all of you back in the New Year,
Jana and Sanjiv
