Thursday, Sept. 28 is the EVE Walk- A – Thon; please consider supporting Eagle View Elementary in this PAC fundraiser, our major school fund raiser for the 2017/18 school year. Students brought home Walk-A-Thon pledge sheets in their beginning of the year pack up that was sent home at the end of the first week of school. Please read the details carefully and consider assisting your child in this school event! Pledges are due into the school by Thursday, September 21!! We are hoping for 100% participation from students.
Students will be completing a walk-a-thon from 1:30-2:30. Students are encouraged to wear their spirit wear or school colours (green and blue) and to bring their noise makers!!
Also that day, we encourage EVE families to come meet your child’s teacher from 5:30-6:00 and then pull out a picnic blanket to join us for dinner from 6:00-7:30. Eats will be supplied by Judy’s Snack Shack (see posted menu for food options and pricing). Various prizes will also be awarded during the evening to top walk-a-thon fundraisers.
More for the calendar: As a “heads up” (with more information to follow), we have just had confirmation that the Tour de Rock cyclists will be rockin by Eagle View Elementary on Thursday, Oct. 5 with a 11:16 stop. The children will gather in the gym at about 11:05. We look forward to cheering them on in their campaign to raise awareness for cancer. The first week of Oct. is a busy week at Eagle View – student photos Monday, Oct. 2; Art Starts Presentation Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 1:30; Parent/Teacher Conferences with 11:40 dismissal on Oct. 4 and 5. Parents are WELCOME at all assemblies and presentations.
